Darwyn Cooke battling cancer

Not many people know that he did this. A testament to his immense talent.

You're right - I did not know that. That's neat, thanks for sharing! I loved that show when it was on...

If anyone is interested, the CBC Radio program "As It Happens" had a nice little segment on Darwyn Cooke.

Go to Monday, May 16th, 2016 and select Listen to Full Episode and his segment will pop up.

They interview General Manager of Strange Adventures, Dave Howlett (sp?) - Anyway, I thought it was a nice segment about an amazing Canadian creator.

Terrible news. I feel fortunate to have met him. What a nice guy and a tremendous talent.

I just got back from San Diego visiting my Aunt (my fathers oldest sister) who is at the end of her life due to cancer. I hate it.

Thanks for this. I usually listen to As It Happens, but missed the program last night.

Dave is a great guy and is an amazing comic store manager. I really enjoy the chats that I have with him when I go to Strange Adventures. There is a reason why the shop has an Eisner Award and Dave is just one example of why we have such a strong local scene in NS.

Dave has a popular podcast with Rachelle Goguen called "Living Between Wednesdays." They will be spending this week's podcast telling stories about Darwyn Cooke. Here is a link:
