Thanks everyone. That story was outstanding. Later in the run, the art chores are taken over by Ernie Schroeder who died last week (1916-2006) frown.gif Ernie retired from comics in the 1950's to run his own marina. I find it nice to post a story at sea to honor his work in the industry. This is not sleek as Kida but it has its own energy and I find Schroeder can well establish a scene with few lines. I particularly like the across page tier of Airboy on the beach with the schooner in the distance. This story is from the book I received yesterday in the mail and is typical of the later Airboy run.

A. The logo.

B. Same thing that Spider-Man's web swings from.

C. Same thing that Daredevil's cable swings from.

D. Wonder Woman's invisible plane.

I like the romance pages. The first one looks like Ruben Moreira (sp?).

I like the romance pages.

You seem to be the only one as predicted.

We all remember Marvin Stein as a decent utility player in the industry, never great but generally solid. At times, Marvin did outdo himself as in the Lazo Kid in Prize Comics Western # 91 (courtesy of blutobc via eBay) - Here's a sample page on that job -

I can't remember where I put the previous Frazetta story from a week or so ago, so I'll put this one here.

I got in today a so-so copy of Durango Kid # 15, that sneaky Western / Horror cross-over cover -

and it does contain a Frazetta job, not his best unfortunately ...

May not be great Frazetta, but too shabby either! 893applaud-thumb.gif
