Prices realized are up. Says The Sea Witch by Frazetta sold for 750K.

WTF.

Oh I saw that .

As I recall the piece had a 900k reserve and did not sell.

A 750k 'sold' notation is what? Face saving? An after auction sale? To whom?

Depends on how the bid comes in. 20-28% I think.

All the numbers on the prices realized are raw hammer numbers before any premium, so it would be 750 raw.

Ok thx for the clarification but... same comment. Wtf . 750 is still less than 800
Is this a post-sale private treaty that due to close timing is being reported in a confusing way? PIH could just clarify and we could all move on... :)

Seems like someone pulled the trigger on Crimson God?

Actually, where are you seeing this? I'm seeing Lot 52 as still not having sold on the prices realized sheet.

Same here. It's not showing as sold on either invaluable or profiles.

Hmm, I may have misunderstood the email I got from eBay then.

A representative from Profiles just informed me that BWS will not be enforcing TAR agreements on any Smith art sold tomorrow. A formal announcement will be coming soon from Profiles in History

Yep, I got it earlier today. It reads:

Comic & illustration Art Auction Featuring Barry Windsor-Smith

The Barry Windsor-Smith Art featured in our auction tomorrow are no longer subject to the TAR agreement per a letter received by Profiles in History from Barry Windsor-Smith, himself.

This is great news for prospective bidders!

I think the close on those items just went up.

If the buyer was in another country could the TAR agreement be enforceable?
