Marvel Tales #95 classic sci -fi monster cover

Here's the interior splash :

 

 

It's a Bell Features version - it has no date in the indicia.

 

The GCD has the Bell Features version of the first 5 or 6 Marvel Tales, but this one isn't listed !

 

Here's an updated pic, it's in better shape than I remember :

 

 

The cover stock is very thick with 2 staples that are oddly spaced on the spine.

 

Inside back cover has advertisement for Archie Comics.

 

Bought it off the 'bay probably 12 years or so ago. That's about all I recall.

I just added issue skeletons for this issue at the GCD, so it will be there once somebody approves it. May I have permission to post your picture of the cover there as well?

 

The cover (other than the monster) reminds me a lot of this one, which came out eight months later:

 

 

But even if they are the same artist, we don't know who drew the Venus cover either!

There are covers and content indexes listed for everything Atlas published on www.atlastales.com ........ just hit the titles link and then select the title you wish to study, then click the cover thumbnail for the specific cover ..... I'm not sure if Bell variants are listed, however.... GOD BLESS....

I noticed the same thing when I was thumbing through the book and counting the pages. Seemed like a LOT of ad pages to me.

Thank you! I've just entered most of the data you gave me at the GCD; the exception are the ad pages you didn't provide scans of. (Indexing ads can actually be rather tricky even when you can see them.) But this still gives us an excellent bunch of information on the book for the entry, and I really appreciate you taking the time to share it.
