Famous Mr. Mystery cover reprint. Has lots of wild 1950's pre-code horror reprints.

A very pretty, clean, bright, glossy complete copy. Has a few light indents and bends but nothing that breaks color. Back cover has a small 1" lower corner crease. No pieces missing, tears or major creases. Book and centerfold bound securely to covers. Interior pages are white.

OK, while I am on Friction House horror related titles...

Jumbo #166 Feb 1953

Second to last issue of this long running book. At this point this publisher saw the horror written on the wall and poor old Sheena was regulated to the back of the book in favor of a more horror related theme. This is a great one with a nice Whitman dead hanging guy/GGA cover and lead story. Collectors have finally realized how cool these are and hard to find. They are in high demand now and will do nothing but go up in price.

A nice, bright, flat, tight complete copy. Has some minor, light wrinkling to cover and a small clear dirt spot over "Gallow Bird" type.Looks like a small 3/4" interior cover tear repaired with glue and what looks like a VERY tiny tape repair just below it. Top stapled has neatly pulled loose from back cover only. No other tears, creases or missing pieces. Book and centerfold still bound well to covers. Interior paper is white to slightly off white. Nice presenting copy of a cool, in demand book.

WAS $100. NOW $90.00 Buy these while you can...

If some Superman collector doesn't snap this up to wear to the next convention he goes to, I give up!

Superman Muscle Building Club 1954 Pinback Button.

Came inside the Muscle Building Kit with a membership card. These were immediately lost as the case with most pinback buttons thusly making them so hard to come by. It is a tin litho button and is 1-3/8" round. Great Wayne Boring image of the Man of Steel. Awsome, bright paint. Does have a very tiny scratch but does not mar the beauty of this scarce pin. A couple very tiny pinpoint one at top as well. As you know, I have most of the Superman pinbacks and this is by far my favorite!

NOTE: Photo is a bit washed out. This has very bright, rich deep color and looks much better in person.

$75.00 + $2.50 postage

War Battles #5 July 1952 Harvey Publications

Awsome, colorful flamethrower cover. Very violent stuff throughout.

A very pretty book. Maybe the nicest shape comic I will list today. Bright, flat, clean very glossy, tight spine and complete. No tears or creases. Blinding color! Has a couple small spine bends and a very tiny spine abrasion at bottom. Tight and well bound to covers. Interior paper is just slightly yellowed but fresh and supple. Interior of last page has a tiny 1/8" chip out of edge. VERY tiny chip out of top of back cover as well. Might be a file copy but maybe not due to the fresh paper. One of my favorite war books.

Andy Panda New Funnies Subscription premium.

Late 1940's giveaway when you sent in a subscription. Great color and image of Andy. 1=1/4" round cello. Just the slightest hint of a spot at 8:00. might even be dirt. These are just so cool and being what they are kind of hard to find anymore. Kids just lost 'em.

Again, very soft out of focus and blown out photo. Type is sharp and image is very bright. Much better in person.

Another weird item...

Very early 1950's Philco TV store Display/Giveaway piece. Features 4 panels one with each of the following 4 popular TV show characters. Tom Corbett Space Cadet, Gabby Hayes, Howdy Doody and Clarabelle Clown. This can be creased on each corner to form a "box" with no top or bottom and has a cord to be hung. Or, you can punch out the eyes to make a mask of each character. Each panel is 6-1/2" x 7-1/2". This is un-punched and un-used. Bright color, no tears or creases. Has original store stamp on the top of Gabby Hayes. Be the first to assemble it and hang it in your mid century modern man cave!
