What are the record prices paid for non key GA?

Books like Tec 31 and Suspense 3, where it is the cover, and not an appearance that make them valuable, and other classic cover or rare books in all genres that have sold for nosebleed prices?

Weird Mysteries 5 17.9k in 8.0, Target Comics v1 no#7 $77k in 9.6, Mystery Men 1 39.4k in 9.2, CAC 3 50k in 9.2 (though this might be considered a key), Exciting Comics 39 19k in 9.2.

I think it is also interesting to think about what books would make the 50k+ or 100k+ list if they did ever come up for sale.

Given a a 9.2 CSS 22 sold for 17k a little while and prices have continued to steam ahead since then I would be very curious to see what one of the 9.6 copies would bring. Or Mr Illmannered's 9.2 CDNP 24.

The king of the non-keys are:

Action Comics 10 CGC 9.0 ComicConnect 2011/08/09 $258,000.00

Detective Comics 33 CGC 9.2 ComicConnect 2011/08/09 $194,000.00

Suspense Comics 3 Penn CBCS 9.0 Heritage 2015/08/27 $173,275.00

But, an Action 7 should top them all. Check this out:

Action Comics 7 CGC 8.0 Heritage 2008/02/01 $143,400.00

If you are referring to the HA sale way back in 2003 for Target #7, the actual price was $57.5K. :gossip:

Unless there was a subsequent sale for $77K which I am not aware of. Still, a very impressive result, considering the top of guide for the book at that time was only $6,400. (thumbs u

It's quite possible that a high grade pedigree copy of 'Tec 31 could top even the Action 7, in my personal opinion. (shrug)
