Now here is a decent example (IMO) of one of the creepy earlier AIU covers, # 11. Just got this one, so I couldn't fit it in chronologically. Bummer is, I broke off a small piece of the LRC trying to squeeze it back into the small bag it came in! doh! I should have known better! You guys know I'm not a condition freak by any means, but that makes even me sick! :frustrated:

Everyone on this thread knows about the gruesome cover on Black Cat 50 but I never knew about the Frazetta story on the inside.

GCD says just inks but it looks a lot like his work.

Palais art can be found in most of those issues too. I think I need to collect more Harvey comics.

Does anyone want to trade for Blondie?

I have been trying to get people to pay attention to the Frazetta art in BCM#50 for years, but no one seems to care. It is more than just inks. At this time he was helping Sid Check break into comics, and helped in any way he could, redrawing bits, inking bits, the whole thing. Like the cover to Beware #10, there is as much Frazetta on that story as sid Check. The clincher was when the originals came up in a heritage auction in 2003 or so, nd there were notes by Frazetta on the pieces. Still it's not even listed as Frazetta in OS.

It's a pretty twisted story too, IIRC.

Matthew, the OSPG is so slow to react to both info & true market value (especially downturns ) that I only buy one once every few years, and probably just as much for sentimental reasons rather than strictly a resource. :gossip:
