This partial run has been a learning experience and I have come to appreciate ALL the talents that produced the title....I'll probably pick up the last 5 if they turn up in the 5.0 to 6.5 range for a fair price. The 9 actually has an Everett story inside and a Colan cover. I have a question....as my interest in Atlas has been kindled by the wealth of info on these boards...did Severin do much horror for them ?....I've really come to LOVE his westerns and war for the company. That guy's work is so under appreciated by today's fandom.GOD BLESS...

I think Severin went to work for Atlas after the collapse of EC so that he was primarily a post-code artist for Atlas. I don't think Severin did hardly any horror for EC or anyone else. He did some very nice work for the Atlas suspense titles but I don't he was all that personally interested in horror.

As per John in a The Comics Journal interview,

"SEVERIN : No, I had stopped working for EC before they folded. The next day you go down to the other guy's place and see if he has an opening there and he (Stan) welcomed me with open arms...."

"GROTH : Did you literally go to see Stan Lee?"

"SEVERIN : Yeah...I just went up and told the girl in the open box who I was and that I would like to see Stan Lee if she could arrange it. And Stan Lee came out and we talked about a price."

Easy as pie for Severin to find work!
