Diary Of Horror has very nice E.R.Kinstler art with an excellent A.C. Hollingsworth bondage cover.

Eerie # 2 has an excellent Wally Wood bondage cover and artwork. One of my favorite Avons.

 

EERIE 2

 

Eerie # 10 Try to find a nice copy of this issue. Very difficult.

Unusual A.C. Hollingsworth cover. Uses a similar creature on his Flying Saucers

one-shot issue.

Everyone has one of these, right? I do not think it is as scarce as originally thought. I see a lot of low grade copies available, but ZERO high grade fine or better.

It's an adaptation of the novel -- the only pre-code version that I'm aware of and pretty cool for that reason alone. It's been quite a while since I read it but I don't recall the art as being that outstanding.

Both were drawn by Everett Raymond Kinstler. There've been a couple of very good books written about him if you'd like to know more.

I also tried for the issue 5 they had but fumbled and bumbled when I placed my bid and confirmed the system said my bid needed to exceed the minimum and I thought I had and I went backwards and hit submit again and well...you snooze you lose.

They graded the number 1 as a 6.0, but to me based on the pictures I would go higher. Will see once I have it in hand.

It goes around! I just bought a remaindered copy of The 10-cent Plague and it makes an appearance there as well. Even better, it's in plain sight right behind Wertham as he testifies. Glad I finally looked at Hadju's book :banana:

 

This is more incentive to track down the last 6 books I need to complete the display :D
