Really? I like it better than the previous one! The dragon is cool and I like the side panels better. True, the previous one was better at providing atmosphere while this one is more in your face but isn't that what we like in comics at times? thumbsup2.gif

The dragon is cool beyond words indeed, but I have a personal hang-up for intricate line work such as displayed in the "Murderers Knoll" cover section from #4. Tell you what my friend, you trade me your undercopy of #4 for my undercopy of #5 and we'll both be happy, yeah??!! 893scratchchin-thumb.gif893crossfingers-thumb.gif

Here's one that was on my list ever since POV posted his copy.

The cover image is disturbing and horrific...I love it!

Man, necrophilia and the 50's. I'll bet the Beav and Wally never read this issue.

Beyond sweet book Jay.

Here's more love for you then...Zombie Love! insane.gif

This book's cover is from an interior panel from The Thing #16.

This might not be a popular cover but I'm a sucker for those "up-close and personal" views.

I love the empty eye sockets!

That's a sweet copy 893applaud-thumb.gif Reminds me of the seen in "The Birds" where they find the farmer in his bedroom with his eyes pecked out.

Man, that's an amazing cover! It must've taken forever to do that. Kinda reminds me of a Chuck Close painting.

Yeah, sounds like blasphemy in hindsight, but I agree that one of the initial instincts these covers evoke certainly is the need to pick that pencil up and.... crazy.gif

When I slipped this book out of its mylar it had/has the strangest metallic silvery gloss I've ever seen on a book.

Fawcett used metallic compounds in the ink near the close of the comics publishing division. As a result, fresh copies exhibit very intense colors that, when tipped in the light, expose another side of the crystaline structure reflecting that sheen you admire.
