this book started my passion for precode horror, before i knew what precode horror was...back when i was still trying to put together my high-grade FF run, 20 years ago...i found a G-VG copy in a comic shop for $30 and bought it. I was hooked. this is probably my personal favorite. For the cover of course, and for "Nightmare World" - an unforgettable story/art creation by Wolverton.

you know, i worship at the altar of Bernard Baily, but if Atlas didn't have the annoying 'preview' blocks on the left side of their covers, some of Everett's Atlas horror covers would rank with any ever done...like the Venus covers do of course...

One of my favorite romance covers.

Fantastic Fears #6

This book has the classic story about a guy who decapitates a lady with a papercutter (reprinted in TTTTT). I sought this book out for its cover which as you can see features a very disturbing character with some scary-looking dental work. This character is somewhere between human and monster I think. I love the exaggerated teeth and gums and the color choice of pink is so strange I think it works well. This book visually pops in a linup of the other Pre-Codes I've gotten so far. I'm going to feature a group shot of my beginner collection when I finish highlighting each book.

Nice book! Any chance of seeing a pic from the papercutter decap story? :wishluck:

Here's another one that the the cover pops out at you, you could say it makes your hair stand on end!

That's probably the scariest looking dental work of any pre-code book! :applause:
