The trouble with experimenting with Ace, is there certainly are eyeball ripping out inducing issue sprinkled through the whole run.

See, AS, Shiver agrees with me. One guy (Cameron) does not a stable stable of staple artists make. I stand my ground sumo.gif

Haven't contributed in a while.

This issue claims to have a Cinderella parody story.

Can't wait to read it tonight! cloud9.gif

The last of PL's "Weird Adventures" - # 3 from 1951. With covers like this, it is a shame they didn't keep publishing. frown.gif

If memory serves correct, I think I bought this from Dale Roberts around 1994 or so at a tiny show in Dayton at a Holiday Inn. (Jubilee productions?)

A very nice cover indeed! Although it could be improved just a teensy bit if it was a gal on the operating table. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

A little bit of swiping of the font from Weird Science as well. Still, I like PL Publishing -- one of the more interesting little publishers from the early 50s explosion.

It really is too bad they couldn't make it further than 1951 on the horror front. When you hear of PCH publishers closing shop, you kind of would presume it would be due to the CCA looming/arriving from '54 to '55. Not the case with PL. They simply couldn't get off the ground with the glut of horror on the stands in the '51-'52 explosion, from what I gather. Bummer. frown.gif
