Nice gloss, flat and clean, but there's chipping along the overhang upper edge, small corner off lower RH FC, small corner off lower LH BC, old address sticker lower RH BC. Tight with cream - offwhite pages, and the interior is fully intact.

There's a touch of general wear, mostly along spine, and an eight inch split upper spine, eighth inch tear upper edge FC. A couple steps above most Harvey Horror I've found over the years.

Jo-Jo Congo King 7 (#1)

 

Watch Jo-Jo battle the villain driving the armored elephant! Armed with only a spear he boldly goes to war against a tommygun!

 

Solid enough copy, the worst of it is the big dogear upper RH FC, and the several small dogears lower RH FC.

 

Otherwise tight with some general wear. Offwhite pages.

Mystic Comics 1 1944 edition

 

Displays pretty well but has plenty of problems. Lots of tape repairs along spine, tape at staple on CF to boot. Two pieces out of BC, one about the size of a half dollar lower RH corner, another about the size of a penny out at the single staple. The small one has been covered with tape. The last page has a somewhat smaller piece out at the same spot, barely gets into the art in one panel. On top of that, there's a good size water stain FC,

 

Interior is okay, a perfectly nice lowgrade reader, and the repairs have put it together tightly. Pages are supple, no problems there.

 

Angel story, along with Tommy Tyme, Destroyer, and Human Torch stories.

 

I know it's a rough reader, but I also know it's a Timely #1 with a cool Nazi bondage cover.

All right, last book of the evening.

 

Detective Comics 79

 

Batman, Slam Bradley, Crimson Avenger, Air Wave, and Boy Commandos by Simon and Kirby. What a line up!

 

Tape at staple inside and outside of cover, otherwise a decent copy. Some general wear, but it's flat and square, tight spine (What with the tape and all, ) and tight CF, white pages. Small tear upper BC, another LH BC, some minor soiling, particularly along spine.

 

Lower grade, but a solid copy.
