Looks good to me. Maybe add Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud? I haven't read it myself but people always rave about it.

I highly suggest it.

Also "Comics and Sequential Art" by Will Eisner.

You left out these forums! poke2.gif

I was hoping that the CGC mention would somehow encompass the Forumites as well... shy.gif

and Matt's book ( #9) will be forthcoming later this year, I had seen some galleys at press-time (for OPG # 35) and it's going to replace most of what we think we know about pedigrees... headbang.gif

A lot of your choices are redundant.

MyToolBox Top 10

1 Computer hardware

2 Computer software

3 Internet access

4 OS

5 Pen/Pencil

6 Paper

7 Long boxes

8 Mylar bags/boards

9 USPS Media Mail

10 My brain

Several of your choices are not that well thought out either. For examle, number 5 is Pen/Pencil and number 6 is Paper. These two should be considered as one because without one the other becomes irrelevant. To better expalin my reasoning, allow me to quote Mr. Roth, "I brought my pencil, now give me something to write on!"

The same logic as above could be applied to your first and second choices as well. WIthout harware, software will do you no good and vice versa.

As for numbers 9 and 10, those are topics of discussion all their own, and actually have been!

Since they need each other to function, they are not tools unless the other (TOOL) is available. Two SEPERATE TOOLS. USPS is a sending/receiving tool. Like the internet access. I can't believe I'm arguing the definition of tools on a comics board.

screwy.gif Without eBay and this website, I would be able to buy back issues only about once a year. I would say that makes them pretty important. I know I am hardly alone in feeling that way. confused-smiley-013.gif
