Star Wars: Darth Maul #1 s/s Drew Struzan (cover artist) $275    SOLD!

Anyone who knows Struzan's legend, knows he is ICONIC for his 70's and 80's movie posters.  He's extremely scarce for public appearances or signings.

There is but a small handful of comic book covers that he did, if I had to guess, right around 10 or so different books.

(Darth Maul 1-4, Indiana Jones & the Crystal Skull #1 & 2, Action Comics #800, Astounding Space Thrills #3)

OPTIONAL #1--- add Ron Marz for FREE (personal buddy of mine)

OPTIONAL #2 -- add Jan Duursema for FREE (but ONLY if she shows up at a con in the next couple months)

These books are tough to get in high grade, especially now---that card stock cover is a bum.

9.8 if you stored them right when you bought them, but you're not going to do so well picking these up in back issue bins.

Okay---this one I just picked up for inventory yesterday.  As a fan of the original Henson film (and I know there are a lot of us out there), this was a no brainer.  That being said, I must have pre-screened close to 75 copies before I could find just SEVEN (7) strong 9.8 candidates without any flaws.

The cover stock on this book is ridiculous.  It's a thin cardstock cover, and VERY susceptible to spine stress, color breaks, bent corners.

The art is BEAUTIFUL.  I wish that I could offer Simon Spurier on this, but he's a UK guy.

However, I can offer cover artist JAE LEE on the standard cover and variant cover artist David Petersen (Mouse Guard) for the 1/25 variant

Seriously----based on what I saw, probably not going to be many 9.8 copies out there.
