The problem with moral relativism is that it justifiably causes you to give up any claim you may have against anyone for anything they may, or may not, choose to do.

Example: you don't think it's right to burn your house to the ground. Someone else doesn't share the same view as you, and think it's perfectly acceptable to burn down whatever house they feel like. Who, then, are you to tell them what is right for them to do? Who are you to even stand in their way? Aren't you deciding FOR THEM what is, and is not, acceptable behavior...? Certainly. You have no justifiable right to stop them from burning your house down, because, for them, it's not wrong. Whether it's your property or not is meaningless. For them, it's not wrong, it's what is right for them, and so you...to be morally consistent...have no right to stop them, or even try to persuade them differently.

After all...if nothing is right or wrong, then even the concept of owning property is meaningless. Who are you, to claim "rights" over a piece of land, or any tangible good, even your own body, if other people feel differently?

So, we have concluded that we are all thieves? Are we all probation worthy?

You can only speak for yourself.

hm

Seems everyone in this thread is guilty of one thing or another.

You're going to ruin it. Soon we will not be allowed to speak at all.

I know, isn't that terrible? Thinking that people shouldn't try to speak for others in an attempt to "shore up" their own arguments...madness!

That's totally the same thing as what you're saying......

.......right?

There's no anger, Buzz. Disappointment and frustration, yes, but there are far more important things to spend emotional energy on than getting angry at strangers online.

Your scorn, however, is duly noted.

Am I on a list?

What have I done to you, that you would go out of your way to destroy whatever good will I may have had for you (and it was substantial)...? Have I done something to you personally, that you would respond like this? Or is it that you've decided you just don't like what I have to say or what I believe and think?

Oh, I forgot my role as spectator. Gotcha!

Right, that's exactly what I said. You nailed it.

It's my interpretation. :whee:

No, it's not. It is, however, your means of making a statement that you think the topic has gone on more than long enough, that I'm belaboring the point, and you'll make light of it to counter that, showing contempt for me in the process.

No.

That's your interpretation. (thumbs u

No.

That's what is.

Otherwise, what you have been posting has no meaning.

No ill will at all. The "am I on a list" was a fooling around comment since 'lists" seem to be all the rage these days.

Relax though. Over the last few days you seem to be taking on a lot of fights. You thought Beige was making a comment at you when he wasn't, (to your credit you recognized it afterwards) the whole Swick thing, paypal, and a few others that I cannot remember right now.

I would say more in private but I guess I did somewhat earn being put on block / ignore.

either way back to cooking.

Isn't it a rule that you can't ask for paypal personal in a sales thread?

Yes.

Seems pretty easy then. Report the thread or remind the person of the rule just like any other rule infraction for a sales thread.

It was a single picture, without comment, which intent was obviously unclear. It could have been aimed at me, you, the man in the moon. I asked if Beige had something to say to me. He didn't. I didn't "recognize it", I asked a question, and Beige answered me in a PM. Problem solved.

Seems you've made more of something than you should, too.

There is nothing "unusual" going on. That is only your perception.

the whole Swick thing, paypal, and a few others that I cannot remember right now.

What Swick did was out of line, he's been doing that a lot lately, and something needed to be said. Who am I to say it? Nobody, but no one else was saying much, either (in that instance.) That's the end of it.

And as long as people keep openly declaring that using Paypal without paying for their services is fine and dandy...which is beyond insane, and boggles my mind that we even have this discussion...then I will keep saying something about it. If you want to call that "taking on fights", by all means, feel free.

These aren't "fights", but if you classify any and every disagreement as a "fight", then pretty much everything except songs and roses will look like "fights" to you.

I would say more in private but I guess I did somewhat earn being put on block / ignore.

either way back to cooking.

Indeed.

RMA,

You obviously feel strongly about this subject, so take it the extra mile.

Post the offending party in the Probation Discussions board with your intent and concern over their obvious "theft", assemble the yays and nays via poll concerning the nomination, and then see what happens.

All this yapping isn't going to solve a thing. Go the distance son.

I have used PayPal personal, but it's always via a credit card not a bank balance.

So I pay the fee, or I thought I did.

I pay a fee, but is it the same amount as if the person receiving a regular payment would pay?

If its not, I'll stop doing this and just add the amount to a regular payment.

I used paypal personal the other day. I picked something up for someone at cost. They PP personal'd me the money + shipping fee.

I used paypal personal three weeks ago to send in money for my Fantasy Football league.

There are many instances where I have used Paypal Personal. Whenever I am selling things though, 3% is not much for the cost of doing business.

PayPal would need to join the Boards and argue that money was stolen from them in a transaction.

One of the better analogies I have seen lately.

Some in here are just about the post count. Others just like to discuss, spout,

or argue.

They rant, they rave then they go back to being quiet for awhile. It is what it is.
