Good  morning,   page  sniffers!

Three early birds  for  you  early  risers  with  discerning  tastes.

Nellie  The Nurse 16

Looks  okay  from  the front,  but  there's  a good  sized spine roll,   and there's  a   chunk  out  of the back  cover.   See that missing bit just  below  the upper staple?  Well,    it  continues   around  the spine  into the BC  about   three inches,  an inch wide or  so  and tapering  a bit  toward  the end.   Sigh...

Tight  enough  with  offwhite pages,   a decent  reader   and not  a lick  better.

Asking  $35

Real  Screen  Comics   #1   (Real  Screen  Funnies 1  for this issue only)

First  appearance   of  The  Fox  and  The Crow,  ran  for  well over  a  hundred  issues.

This  is  a nice  looker  with  some issues.   Front  cover  is quite nice,    but  both  staples  are rusty,  with  a  bit  of  migration.  2"  tear  upper  BC,  with  matching  tear  on  the last  two  leaves,   gets into  the art  about  an inch.    Nothing  missing,  perfectly  readable.

Here's  the biggie:  There  is a 1 x 3  vertical piece out  of the lower  LH  BC,  taking  about  a  1/2 x 2  nip out of the  gag  page on  the back  cover,   and the gag page  inside  the back  cover.    Still  perfectly  readable,   but  there  you go.   Last  two  leaves  have  diminishing  sized  pieces out,  nips    a corner  off  the  art  on  the  last  two pages.

All that  being said,  this  is  a flat,   tight copy,   with bone  white  pages,     and  some  big issues.    Sure  looks  pretty  in    a new  bag  though.

Overstreet  is  over $100,    asking  $60

Chilling  Tales  14

Well,   I  gotta  admit,   this  is  a first  for  me.

Rough  reader,   with   the loose  cover  reattached  with...get  this....  electrical  tape      lol

Three  wrapping  around  the  outside of the cover,   three more inside the FC  sticking  it  to the interior  of the book,    and  three MORE  inside  the  BC  sticking  it  to the interior.   Too bad,   it's   great cover  and  the  stories  are plenty  creepy  to boot.  Interior  is okay,  cream - offwhite pages.

Asking  $40,   even in this shape.

I couldn't  find  a  copyright  date,   and  it's  not  listed  in  Overstreet,   but  it  tastes  like  early 1950's  to me.
