I had never seen that story/Kirby art before, so we can thank 01TheDude for requesting pictures of the interior of that Esquire as I would have never opened it. Now that I have opened it I am somewhat glad I did. I say somewhat because while I enjoyed the story/art of those pages and it was neat to see the many advertisements for old cars and the like that magazine gave off a strong acidic smell once it was liberated from the old yellowing bag it was in. Of course, not having anything to put the magazine back into it went right back inside. .

If one was to put these on a shelf or wrapped around some books in a box, they could act as a holder/separator and could be used to hold together a particular story arc or something. Other than that I see no use for them.

I assume something from the Strange Tales books 179-181. I own those books but they are in some box in Dave's garage at the moment. :P ***As that is Moondragon Thanos is having his "mind war" with, I think it may be from Avengers 125 or the Avengers annual 7. Anyone know? Edited July 3, 2018 by Artboy99 kav

There are some funny panels in there to boot. and in case anyone was having trouble reading the first page-- I fixed the orientation: $22.00 worth of cold cuts-- that is an odd detail. Also-- was the drinking age at the time 21? I'm guessing there was some liberty taken the conversations etc. Edited July 3, 2018 by 01TheDude added some comments
