Well, for the record, it is a very nice classic McSpidey pose. I wouldn't be sad to own it regardless of the stat up top. Probably how most feel about it. I am not a fan, at least not enough to spend the money, but my eyes went right to the bottom. You'd still like to hear everything there is to know about stats and condition, but I have a feeling even if they said it had been infected with smallpox a large section of the McSpidey fan base will drool over and scheme to own it. aokartman
I followed the link to this auction. It looks like a lot of great art! This piece of KAMANDI cover by Jack Kirby interested me. It is already at $6000, so I am out. But, I was curious if anyone thought that the original trade dress of early comic covers made a difference in value, versus later replacements. And if the auction house should disclose, if known, replacement dress. Or, does it not make a difference. I have a few bronze covers, and wonder if serious buyers really notice or care. This particular cover is a beauty, and it all looks good. I noticed the scan is stitched, can't that be scanned on a large scanner? And, I see the art is attached to the larger piece of Bristol board, and I think that should be mentioned to the future owner. My thoughts, David http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FALLSUB.ASP%3FFocused%3D1%26id%3D1398%26pg%3D4%23Item_1207006&id=1207006&itemType=1#detail Edited November 28, 2017 by aokartman

Ironmandrd
Some nice Avengers and Iron Man pieces. Looking at my tracking bids, a lot of pieces "undervalued" so far.
Cogansway1
Hey there everyone, been a real long time since I posted on the boards, but I've got 5 pieces up for auction in the Comiclink ending tonight. All these pieces have been in my collection for 15-25 years, and I rarely sell or trade my good stuff, so don't miss out on your opportunity to lock it in your vault for the next quarter century. Up for auction is the 2nd best Brian Bolland cover from the 1st ever Robin series. There were only 5 issues and this is the only one that give a full good look at Robin's then new costume: http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1213832 Next up is a Bloom County Sunday with Opus in every panel (a foot counts in the last one, right?). You don't see many of these show up these days. BTW, this one is signed by creator Berkeley Breathed when he was at a bookstore in Brentwood, California, several years back: http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1213838 Also available, is a great montage splash page of Green Arrow by the highly underrated Trevor Von Eeden, co-creator of Black Lightning, this splash features to large images of Oliver Queen in full classic Green Arrow costume. I've only ever seen two other Von Eeden Green Arrow splashes, and one is in my collection and the other Romitaman sold for around $2500. Don't know why DC hasn't put out a trade of all these great 80's Arrow stories from Detective, Wolrd's Finest and the Green Arrow mini-series but they should: http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1213837 This year is the 25th anniversary of the premiere of the Batman: Animated Series by Bruce Timm, Paul Dini et al. Back when Bruce was working on the designs of the characters, he recruited a few talented comic artists to help contribute to the look of the show. As many know, Mike Mignola's Mr. Freeze design was used and loved by all, and Kevin Nowlan sent in many great designs that were also used, including, Man-Bat and Killer Croc. https://13thdimension.com/kevin-nowlan-lifts-the-cowl-on-his-batman-animated-designs/ I picked up this great Batman illustration of Batman that he did for the show for Scott Dunbier, back when he was a dealer and have had it ever since, until now: http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1213833 And lastly, up for auction is a tight finished prelim by DREW STRUZAN, of this famous 1970's Thought Factory Batman poster, one of the early first realistic depiction of Batman. I'm many of you, like me, had this hanging on your wall when you were young. This is from one of Struzan's first assignments and from what I've been told, the final painted posters have never been seen, and that Drew does not have them: http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions_first.asp&id=1213834 Thanks for checking them out and good luck to everyone tonight. There's a few pieces I'm hunting as well.
ThothAmon
Man I love that Wolverton unpublished cover but at $54k reserve not met it’s not within my budget. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FALLSUB.ASP%3F_SORT%3DYES%26Focused%3D1%26id%3D1398%26f1%3Da.MaxBid%26ODire1%3DDESC%26f2%3Di.Publisher%2C%2Bi.IssueNumber%2C%2Bi.Genre%26ODire2%3DASC%26f3%3Da.MaxBid%26ODire3%3DASC%23Item_1210733&id=1210733&itemType=

I love these early covers, and currently own the #27, but I was watching this one too.
Flambit
Really wanted that Byrne Superman #4 splash. Went way higher than I expected, but not surprised - it's a nicer Superman image than even some of the covers had!
Claudio
I liked the Man of Steel splash more. The image wasn't as nice but it had more nostalgia. 20k was a bit surpising though. http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fbids.asp&id=1205456

There was just something "off" about the MOS image and I couldn't put my finger on it. But the #4 was perfect, Byrne at the height of his powers. I agonized whether I'd pull the trigger when it was at 5k. But at 10k, the decision wasn't nearly as difficult haha Congrats to the winner, amazing piece!
