Bottom line-- you screwed up and need to own your mistake if this book isn't what you expected. Continuing to fight this will result in everyone here asking for your ebay ID so they can block you.

You’re right, I did screw up and Ive owned it from the start, but you’re wrong, the bottom line is he called it a nice copy which was really misleading and wrong.

The seller also stated in the auction:

"These comics are in various conditions please view the scans provided."

I guess the OP didn't read that part.

Also another part that reads "see scans."

And they provided front and back (albeit slightly cropped) pictures.

The scans show all the problems described by the OP. And $17 is fair for the condition. No argument!

Would have been better for the OP to have quit while he was ahead.

Again, I never ever once said I was wronged and I did nothing wrong. I admired I should have looked at the pictures better. As for what I was expecting from a 17 dollar book, this book is probably worth 1 or 2 dollars tops, so maybe just a LITTLE better. Also, what I do find extremely absurd is I don’t think I’ve seen one person say it was wrong of him to say it was a nice copy. Brushing it off as subjective or excusing it somehow. It no way was it right or excusable to label this book as a nice copy. But anyways thank for your time, input and opinions. That is what I was looking for.

Yes, you did nothing wrong. Just let it go and move on. You got the $5 back, and take this as part of your lesson. That is how many of us grow up by learning from mistakes and do better next time. I am not blaming you at all. I get what you are trying to say.

Some people see it as a “nice” copy in so many different views.

For those with short-term memories, this is the same guy who missed a name written on the cover of a book he bought via eBay.

Wow, almost identical situation with the same excuses. Talk about not learning a lesson.

Review the bidding history on this item above-- what we have here is a thrill bidder or something. NINE times you bid on this item. NINE times you failed to look at the pictures where the description states "SEE SCANS"  as well as the text description.

Go whine somewhere else with this BS about "he called it a nice copy" -- clown.

Cheers to the lucky so-and-so that draws this guy in the grading comp!

This is a case where they might deserve to be run off the boards. lol

My advice? STOP buying books immediately. Start reading the forums here and understand how comic collect works. You are spending money with what appears to be rudimentary knowledge at best. It's called LURKING and you would be served well to observe conversations and try to understand what is going on before you waste more money and the time of the veterans on this board. We are usually willing to help people who are new but being stubborn about what happened in a purchase is making you less likely to be helped and more likely to be ridiculed.

As someone once said-- "Donny-- you're out of your element"

How the heck do you think it’s ok for someone to label a book with tears, holes, staples and tape as a nice copy??

I’ve admitted three times I was wrong for not looking at the pictures better.
