Well, It's always good to chat Johnson, lol, I love getting you guys worked up! Anyway I'm heading to the Baltimore casino on Thursday for the weekend. There's plenty of fish down there to beat! Will chat some more next week.

With your heading to Baltimore, can we expect fall off in production at the Stan lee forging foundry? :wishluck:

I totally agree with you Diamond, Johnson's going around saying this guy and that guy is selling forgeries! You got any proof Johnson? Have you seen this man forging Stan Lee signatures? Your making some bold statements about a guy who isn't even here to speak up for himself!

I was being sarcastic.

The single, most cheapest, Stan Lee signed SS series graded comic on eBay sold listings recently is this....  $75.00

Daredevil #188 CGC 9.4 SS STAN LEE 1ST STONE & CLAW BLACK WIDOW, STICK Restored

Daredevil #188 CGC 9.4 SS STAN LEE 1ST STONE & CLAW BLACK WIDOW, STICK Restored

Ohh. Losing money so much!

I saw a Stan Lee Sig Series 9.4 or 9.6 fetch $50 and change last week. Horrible cover to have signed, I'll see if I can find it.

I didn't pay attention to the sale trend on Stan Lee signatures in last few years since I sold my last copy with Stan Lee signature (it was ASM #1 5.0).  Is it declining now?

Mistaken. Wasn't Lee.

That isn't signed by Stan

Yep. Just mentioned it above, corrected my post. Title stated, "Stan Lee character". I had done a search, Stan Lee signature series CGC; queried from the least expensive up. This showed up due to the Stan Lee keyword in the title.

Nope. Typically $100 and up for sig series CGC pieces (comics of nominal value). For the more expensive comics that are signed, of course the price goes up accordingly.

To note, on non-sig series pieces, raw books actually signed by Stan, the price for books of nominal value is typically in the $70 to $90 range from what I gather on Ebay, and for books with a strong COA, like PSA/DNA, a little more, $95 to $110 range is usual.

the comics he is selling are the kind you get on free comic day .. they might be 4 for a dollar box comics

Absolutely. Of far more value for the reading only than the actual market value. And there's a reason for that. If he feels he screwed up the forgery, and that's going under the assumption that he exercises any quality control over his worst forgeries at all (and I would guess, not much, as they're all putrid abominations), he can take the finished forgery and shred it, he's out a quarter at most. He's not going to forge Lee on pieces he could get $10 for anyway, because A) his forgeries don't bring much more than that, and B) like all thieves, he's greedy. Aside from the money, he's getting a certain amount of satisfaction of turning quarters into $10 bills at the collector's expense; getting over on them, it's a psychological thing. It's all made very clear by Tonf..... er' VietNam67's posts on the subject, a window into the forger's mind and his incentives.

And as was easily predicted, with Tonfulle-84's attention turned to bluffs at the poker table, suddenly, the continuous, seemingly limitless, assembly line flow of Stan Lee signature bluffs has ground to a complete halt, just like that. But a keen student of history, I have a hunch that the doors to the forging foundry will soon be unlocked and soon production will be once again renewed.

War, I totally agree with you anybody is gonna do whatever they can to squeeze the system. This guy is no different than a used car salesman selling junk cars! As a buyer your taking a chance the car will last a few years such as your taking a chance his sigs are real. I don't see why anyone would worry about what this clown is doing! As a buyer you should be aware of these type of things! I don't blame this clown for doing what he's doing, I blame the buyer's for not doing their homework on Stan Lee's Sig.

lol

"I don't blame a car thief for stealing that car.  I blame the owner for not keeping the car in a locked garage!"  :roflmao:

Get the heck outta here with that nonsense.

And I try not to go all grammar police on people, but sometimes the number of infractions becomes too great to ignore.  I'll put it in spoilers to spare anyone who doesn't care.

Spoiler

There, Their, and They're are all different

Your and You're are different

And it's COULDN'T care less

Geez!  Put down the sharpie and crack a book sometime.

I know he won't care, but I feel a little better.  :cloud9:

And the part where he told a bunch of comic book enthusiasts who spend their free time on comic book message boards discussing comic books with other like-minded people not to waste time on scammers within their hobby...just

Read the room.
