Jayman
Beetle Bailey was a strip that always made me laugh or at least put a smile on my face every time I would read one. RIP Mort!

RIP Mort! Same here. I always bought the collected Beetle strips in paperback form and would read them over and over. Sarge, Otto, Killer, Lt. Flap, Lt Fuzz, the General, Miss Buxley... Tis a great legacy he left us. A really admirable body of work.
Sqeggs
Recently read this book. It's a fascinating account of Mort Walker, John Cullen Murphy (the author's father), and many of the other cartoonists who lived in Fairfield Country, Connecticut. Lavishly illustrated with photos and drawings. Highly recommended. Edited January 28, 2018 by Sqeggs
