Yeah maybe, but it looked like his post was up for quite awhile (I don't remember how long, I have since purged any correspondence from my machines).  I do also find it funny that he had some clear shots of many books, but just a little slice of 181 peeking through, barely noticeable...was that by design.  He had other Hulks more clearly shown, numbers/covers showing etc.   What are the odds....

Agreed, thought that was a bit suspicious. I understand he might be a casual comic buyer or a non-comic reader how got these through a yard sale, apartment clean-out, etc. 

But I don’t think you have to be very dialed into comics to know Wolverine is fairly popular and that a comic cover that features him prominently with the blurb ‘TAH-DAH!!! HEEEERE’S WOLVERINE!!!!’ might be something you want to showcase in your photo if you want make a couple of bucks. 

As opposed to Man-Thing or Son of Satan.

I am curious if those people with 'Buy' ads on CL, do any business that is noteworthy.   Someone who isn't versed in comics probably doesn't run to CL looking for buyers.   They probably just hit up their local comic store first.

I'm sure they find a nut once in a while. I also wonder if you could clean up, provided you had a bit of money, if you were willing to pay a decent percent more than most wannabe dealers offer people for their drek.  But I don't really want to actually try and find out

That's a bit sketchy, 60 percent chance its a real ad, 40 percent chance you would be locked in his basement right now, dressed up as his new girlfriend.
