"High-Grade" varies from collector to collector. I think there was a thread about that a few weeks back. I think almost everyone agreed it was above VF, some said only NM and above, but with comic sellers like that - the fact that they put VF in the description makes it in their semi-unethical way of thinking - high grade.

Looks like some kinda "bugaboo" stain on the back. Maybe a qualified VF-? If no qualified, then nothing better that F+ at best. That bottom right corner looks hand sculpted shaped like that. smirk.gif

Tough call 'cause CGC does not grade back covers too harshly. Kind of amazing what they allow in 9.0's anyway.

(Oh no, with that bugaboo stain remark, I think I might be actually encouraging him.) frown.gif

Looks like a rusty bottom staple with the rust stain migrating to the rest of the cover due to the moisture damage! frown.gif

Yeah, never noticed the rusty staple. With that, I wouldn't even give this comic a VG. I don't think this comic will sell. Not at that price.

Oh yeah, to answer the question of this post, even if the rest of the comic was perfect, I still don't think anyone could still grade it a VF. In a case like that, a qualified grade would probably kick in.
