the "Sid's Luncheonette" COA, by RedHook

at the suggestion of a few board members, i decided to go ahead and have a Certificate of Authenticity for my Original Owner collection, made up.

 

NOT trying to claim Pedigree here, i've made my stance on that clear over the past 18 months. (not a sufficient number of books in great shape and many Keys are no better than midgrade). just thought it would be kinda cool and asked RedHook to help me out for this weekend's debut of my best DC's on Pedigree Comics.

 

so i went back to Orange and took some pics and wrote up the text. Red did all the work including editing and came up with the following; that's actually Sid's as it looks today (with slight RedHook editorial license)......... grin.gif (what'ya think?)

and how about a nice flowery Official looking -script font for Collection?

and clone in some more art left and right of the Sids (or trees for a small town feeling) so the photo isnt just a rectangle?

...and maybe a woodcut looking clouds and sky to open up the top?

The image and text are excellent, and I was right with you up to the last paragraph.

 

At that point, the overly familiar "created at the suggestion of my CGC Board Buddies" part stands out like a sore thumb, and I'd imagine would stand out more to those who have no clue what you're referring to.

 

I'd recommend deleting that part, as it really does not belong, and keeping it semi-professional.

Harry, when exactly this weekend are the books going to be available on Pedigree?

 

if all goes well they should start appearing Monday night at a clip of 10 per night.

 

Doug should have an announcement in the marketing thread, something in Scoop and on his site any moment................

okay, I played with it a bity, but was gonna trash it, but, here goes....

my money where my nouth goes and my feeble Photoshop skills...

(at least I didnt have to scan anything!)
