As usual, Korvac brings the goods.

If you ever tire of the 83...... :hi:

Thanks Bill!! Or if I upgrade......... :wishluck:

Really nice looking 4.5.

Thanks! Had to grab a copy before the prices go completely :screwy:

I know, luckily I picked up a copy along with my Hulk 2 years ago from the same original owner. Funny enough the owner contacted me a year later and wanted them back, which I was glad to do, but wanted to pay me less for them. (shrug)

Sweet books!! :headbang: He wanted to pay you less? Was he a dealer?

No I dont think he was a dealer, as he said he had bought them from a friend and was selling them to buy an old antique car. Apparently his friend past last year and he contacted me and wanted to buy back the Hulk as it was sentimental to him. I said sure no problem what did you have in mind?

He offered me 300 dollars less than I gave him and said that's all he could afford. I said if you can find me a replacement Hulk for that price I'd be glad to give it back to you.

Never heard from him again. I think he was just trying to make me feel sorry for him. Not sure though...

(thumbs u I'd say that's it exactly. He wouldn't be trying to lowball you if the books held that special attachment for him. I know I wouldn't.

I wasn't even wanting more than what I paid, just a replacement of what I had..Unfortunately it was a year later and the books had gone up...He just wasn't willing to work it out... Oh well glad I kept them...

After finally receiving my books from the ComicLink auction, my Joker set is now complete. Number 2 and 4 were the last ones I needed. I was also able to upgrade my 8.

This is the only complete run that relates to my niche - basically because of the suits in the title of the comic.

And some of my other pickups. BeachBum helps me with the moderns as he has found several I did not know where coming up. (He offers a great service for slabbing moderns)

And lastly, from GACollectibles, this cool sci-fi bound volume with a card cover and the classic Freas robot cover that Queen had redone for News of the World.

Waiting for this one to arrive... love the cover. Printed in 1969 in Norway, its actually titled "Daredevil" but include no stories with the character. As the cover points to its classic FF. Last half of the book is the first silver surfer / hulk encounter. If its as good as it looks, I'm probably gonna have it slabbed... seller stated slight rust on the outer part of staples and slight rust trail on spine, other than that it looks sharp.
