Silver Surfer
No way. You know I was looking at this and thinking man that is a good Sal B cover, little different from the others and the other ones were still very good. There appears to be a few inconsistencies on artist labelling, I wonder if CGC will reholder this?
THE_BEYONDER
Not sure how much Byrne contributed to the cover. Byrne always(there are exceptions) signs his cover work, and I don't see any artist sig on that cover. It's the only Marvel book I'm missing from Roger Stern's checklist in The Art of John Byrne. Larryw7
It has been a good week for me. I just knocked one more Blondie off my list. Nice! I also just received a shipment of Detective Comics from 467-474, plus a nice copy of #476. One issue away from completing the Englehart/Rogers set of books. Silver Surfer
You know I rather have a nice file copy than a pedigree any day. Very cool.
mr_highgrade
Just got this puppy this week. This now completes my Neal Adams X-men run in 9.2 or better. Edited May 14, 2005 by mr_highgrade

comicwiz
I'm a little disappointed with the grade outcome (this book has 9.4 written all over it), but the white pages, QP and eye-appeal are extraordinary for a GA book:

Silver Surfer
Another book that takes me back to the day. This came out around the same time a new LCS opened up near my house and I had my first taste of being in a comic shop. What great memories. jbud73
That was one of the first comics I ever remember being around. I didnt buy it off the newstand (being 4 at the time) however, I always just remember it being there.
FFB
IMO Pollard is one of the most underappreciated artists from that era. Another book that takes me back to the day. Silver Surfer
IMO Pollard is one of the most underappreciated artists from that era. Agreed. While I almost forgot about this book the cover is forever burned into my memory, very powerful and dramatic. I considered going after issue #6 (a 9.9 that I see it is now sold) as I remember they use showcase that cover in all the various Marvel issues in the Bullpen section I think. Someone hit the BIN on issue #18 before I do.
