I even remember a story to make ya cringe. I got this one at the beach, it got wet (maybe the pool?), and we dried it out in the oven! Whatta mess.

I've got a Jimmy Olsen book that has Superman on the cover withholding some water from a dying Aquaman on a beach or desert. Forget the year, but I think that's my oldest.

.....ok.......sounds like it was probably published between 1940 and 1997.

look on the cover...there's usually a number there that tells you what issue it is...

Boy I took a beating on that one. Got off my lazy butt and found out that it is no. 115 from Oct. 1968. It's tough getting to the bottom of 8 thousand comics. Okay, I lied. Found the cover at Mile High and the year on Ebay.

Finding that out makes me realize it is not my oldest. Got a Cap. Marvel number one. May of 1968.
