I think you should consult an intellectual property lawyer. I can see how DC could refuse to cooperate, but I can't see how they could prevent you from writing such a book.

For example, there are plenty of books about the Beatles that didn't have authorization from the band or from their record companies.

Good point.

Can anyone on here help ???

How about a property lawyer who is not so intellectual?

He probably wouldn't be as good.

Love the picture of your comic room. I could just imagine rummaging through there as a kid! Pure heaven.

No-one rummages through there.

It's meticulously neat.

The Justice Society Of America, set in the 1940s.

It's not only my dream film, but to me it's such a no-brainer.

I sometimes think Warners are, as I'm unable to say the word I want, shall we say somewhat lacking in intelligence..

A Babylon 5 film and a Justice Society 1940s film would both be their biggest ever blockbusters, to at least rival their Batman film.

The Sandman with his gas mask, The Spectre, Black Canary, Wildcat, Mr. Terrific, The Thunderbolt, all set in a dark moody Metropolitan city riddled with crime. The ULTIMATE comic book film of all time.

But why they have never done a Babylon 5 film, exploring its spiritual depths between the Narn, Centauri, Minbari, Vorlons and Shadows, is a criminal waste of one of the most brilliant premises in creation.

Given how many really cruddy films get churned out (Catwoman anyone ??) it makes me think they employ chimpanzees to commission films.

They OWN these properties already.

They're bloody useless !!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to discuss these a bit more, without the cartoons.

I love that the books are stored vertically. I always wonder if my boxes are wrong as the books are standing on end. but..

heres a question. I can see that these images show probably the GA and SA runs, bagged one to a bag/mylar etc. Do you keep Superman 1 thru 650+ in order all together? Or are the Moderns stored elsewhere, and are the moderns 10 to a bag or 5 or two to keep them manageable compared to their lack of value?

I put 10 Moderns in a GA bag with a board down in the middle of the books (one per bag) keeps them flat and safe and easy to move around while cutting down bag and board storage.

ian... im really curios from an organizational standard.. i find mixing the ages together on a title that spans from GA thru MA to be mixing apples with prunes, but splitting up a title is odd too. how do you file them away?

The small runs are filed A to Z in alphabetical order.

The big runs are just filed in order of each run, but in no order to each other. More like where they fit on the shelves.

Action 1 to 870 take up a lot more space than, say, Metal Men.

The short answer is yes. I am now down to about 60 missing (and 170 incomplete). Alas, I am missing 31 of the 91 in Ian's picture.

My hero, my friend, and the nicest comic collector I have ever had the pleasure and the privilege to meet.

One of THE good guys. And he would do anything to help a friend or fellow collector, anything, selflessly.

I have no idea who published these... I assume not DC, but interesting enough to post.

All the DCs you posted up are unfortunately not rare in the scheme of things. But it's really nice of you to take the trouble.

These other two are not DC, so I know nothing about them, as I specialise only in DC.

But thankyou.

I take it you don't need any of the new DC stuff I found... just trying to help

I'm very grateful and appreciative that you tired to help. It was wonderful of you. But I do already have all the DCs you pictured, as I said above, but please please don't be discouraged and please keep trying
