Rayzor13
Here are photos of my Marvel Spotlight #5 featuring the 1st appearance of Ghost Rider that I picked up for $2.00 at an antique store several years ago . It’s pretty rough, but I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts on a grade. I noticed it has four staples in it and am wondering if they were added at some point after publishing. Despite the condition, I’m hoping it’s the most valuable book in my collection. KobaltDog
Supa-Bad-Mofo
Pics are little hard to see. Corners look blunt. Creases and indentions on f/b covers. Looks like it may be dirty. The extra staples will be an issue, might be a notation or a qualified grade...not sure where CGC stands on added staples. I'm sitting at a 5.0. First Ghost rider appearance...nice book to have! timfinz
I think the book presents fairly well. The staples ALL appear to be original and would not effect the grade in my opinion. I don't believe they've been added but that the book received all four staples during manufacturing. The book might benefit from a press and cleaning. Nice find!! Spoiler 5.5 IMHO! I was thinking maybe a 4.5. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

The Lions Den
All the staples do appear to be original to the book---I would agree that it was manufactured that way. Congratulations!

Rayzor13
Hi All - Been a long time coming but just got notification today that this book has finally been graded:......... Grade - 5.0 Off white to white pages Grader Notes: “ National diamond sales insert intact” Was kind of hoping that I might get as high as a 5.5 on this after Pressing but I’m still very happy with a 5.0. Question: does the national diamond sales insert being intact increase the value of the book? I’m not familiar with this. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks! I think there are collectors who pay a small premium for those.
