I would think the only potential to do that would be opening night.  And only a true diehard would pay any sort of mark up.   It's not like a concert where you've got one date in your town to see "Artist X".   Just go the next day or two.

I used to scalp Coachella tickets and the year they had the Big Four concert between Coachella and Stagecoach my metal head cousin convinced me to invest heavy. They never sold out. I had to give the tickets to my cousin for a song and him and his friends all went 😑

In central London, I have seen ticket touts (British scalpers) trying this on occasion.
