Guest Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 (edited) And the villain... Edited February 13, 2020 by Bosco685 Release date change
kagenish Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 I don't know how I feel about this. I would say that they need to work a little bit more on sonic design their something off-putting about him.

theCapraAegagrus Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 I think this looks really, really bad. I am ashamed it exists. MetalPSI 1
kagenish Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 it also feels like paramount wants another big hit without taking time on the concept.

They only need $40,000,000 to make the "Top 20 Video Game Adaptation" list: https://www.boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=videogameadaptation.htm If you pick the right category, some charts are easy to dominate. Guest Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 (edited) Great Final Jeopardy clue: Sonic the Hedgehog and Jim Carrey. What are “two things that should have stayed in the ‘90s?” Edited May 2, 2019 by mattn792

Very true (for now) but the Illumination Studios Mario movie (and then sequels and no doubt spin offs) are going to make that chart look very different in a few years. The Mario movie won't happen until 2022 earliest apparently but that seems like a lock to be a big success given the studio, subject matter, time being taken, budget, etc. Edited May 2, 2019 by Bronty
theCapraAegagrus Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 A Mario movie has been made before. I would not assume anything.

Guest Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Paramount had taken down the trailer to run it on another site. But no worries - I fixed it. Watch away now.
theCapraAegagrus Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Director says that they're gonna change Sonic's look to be more traditional to appease his fans. Smooth move. I approve.
Guest Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 (edited) The negative responses to that trailer are extensive. Edited May 3, 2019 by Bosco685
theCapraAegagrus Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 The tranquilizer dart scene in the trailer also makes literally no sense in the context within its own trailer, too. At the end, he basically sees everything at full-stop. It's kinda similar to Quicksilver in Age of Ultron, but at least there, he never sees anything full-stop. Maximoff even got shot by a Sokovian police officer in the 3rd Act to show he isn't necessarily always faster than bullets.
RedRaven Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 CGI looks creepy. Trying to make something look too human and falling into the "Uncanny valley" Can't say I care though as who in the world really wants to see a Sonic movie???
ghengishahn Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Someone on instagram rendered Sonic to what they felt like he should look like. theCapraAegagrus 1
