Anyone know story behind the “Richard Anderson DC Collection” in the Sept HA?

According to a contact at Heritage,   Mr. Anderson had purchased off the newsstand some of the major DC titles in the late 40's and early 50's.  He passed away a few years back and the family recently approached Heritage about selling the books.  Apparently, Heritage tried to have the collection declared as a Pedigree but CGC rejected it because it was a relatively small collection.  The family requested a quick sale and the better grades will be offered at the next Signature auction while the lesser grades will be offered at Heritage's weekly auctions about the same time.  It is a nice collection which is extremely rare in high grade for this period.

Lots of nice books.  Still no World's Finest 71 above 8.5.  Pretty incredible at this point.

I thought that was a nice sale. When restored copies in about that grade selling for roughly $30k, and this one went double :whatthe:.  Could this be the beginning of a huge gap between conserved copies vs restored?  Usually they're somewhat close in pricing, with conserved copies edging the restored ones.

Amazing Man #22 CGC 2.0 sold for $21,600, practically half price at what another 2.0 sold for on April of this year.  My estimate for this book was actually $20k.  I thought it was well overpriced to begin with when it sold for that much on April and other lower graded copies that sold previously.  It seemed people who had copies were pumping the book up, well now it sank.

Still not bad for a 2.0
