I do not know what Happened to them back in 2005 I drove up there and talked to Daniel and his grading was right on with mine and he even down graded my Hulk 1. I bought as 2.5 I think and he gave it a 1.5 it could be a 1.5 I never gave it much thought. My Tec 27 Bat 1 Tec 1 and all the books I wanted to sell on ebay was all on point with me and my friends grading back then. I think they really went down hill fast and they can not find resto that well  I guess since my books are restored I am safe. I don't plan on selling my books but they really went to

You are right. I can't imagine calling it a 4.0 either, it is clearly under-graded.

There’s a book I would love to make the seller an offer on but it sits in a PGX holder. I could guesstimate it’s condition from its photos maybe but I just can’t trust the PQ noted or any resto work or pages missing or coupons clipped or whatever with PGX. You are playing Russian roulette every time you try...

FYI, one theory I’ve had based on some of the comments I’ve heard about sellers who use PGX is they have such loose standards so they can give the customer a bigger number for their book and that seller can try and pawn it off on someone less educated in grading. Their 10 point scale simply doesn’t work with grading and the only points I can see in their favor is lower prices and bigger grade numbers on books clearly over-graded. They have always boggled the mind to me how they manage to exist...
