By age 12 she was already being noted in magazine photos as a striking beauty. She was a beauty queen, being named "Miss Junior America 1948". Afterwards came her career in modeling and films. Alberto Vargas did this portrait of her, after she won that beauty title at the age of 16. Intense, eh?
