Wendy and Richard Pini, creators of ElfQuest, met through the reader letters of Silver Surfer 5.  Both were still teenagers at the time living on opposite coasts.  They had a long distance correspondence spanning 4 years and eventually married in 1972.  Wendy first worked as a sci-fi magazine artist, writer (and was one of the first cosplayers as Red Sonja - who even appeared on the Mike Sullivan show).  Richard graduated from MIT with an astronomy degree and worked at the Boston Planetarium, then became a high school astronomy teacher, then worked for IBM until the ElfQuest endeavor became a full-time occupation for both Wendy and Richard, launching in 1978.  The ElfQuest series is still going on with the release of "Stargazer's Hunt" next month (November 13th).

another thing that i knew but probably everyone ekse did though, is that

back in 2004 a guy who worked at CVS in Dallas at the time would see John Travolta shopping there, and he was bald as a cue ball....
