I have a complete run of Airboy (but not Air Fighters). I completed it a while ago. I never had trouble finding issues as LCSs tend to have random issues available and they were plentiful on eBay back when eBay had decent listings. I finished my run all at once when Gary C. had a complete collection come in and he let me pick exactly what I was missing. So, in my experience, no, not any particular issues hard to locate, just general apathy in the marketplace for this series despite its decent interiors as you've discovered.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about going back and buying the rest of them. They were all in about G/VG to VG but nice looking lower grade books.

And a real rarity... a huge oversized magazine (LIFE Magazine sized) published by Hillman Periodicals in 1939 to bring awareness of the crisis in Europe.  Brutal imagery... I can't believe this was on a newsstand.
