Popular Post Jasonmorris1000000
I think DC should revive these dudes and make a team. They need a woman though. Maybe they can give her asteroid breasts? Kevin.J, FoggyNelson, 1950's war comics and 2 others

Jasonmorris1000000
I’m glad the cover explains the guy has an electronic brain, otherwise it just looks like an oscilloscope fell from the building above and squished the dude’s head into his chest. Jasonmorris1000000
Geez. There’s no need for weight shame. I think Jenny Craig saves the day in this issue, but I haven’t read it in awhile. You may want to fact check me. 1950's war comics and OtherEric

Jasonmorris1000000
You actually get the origin of Gorilla Witch’s eyepatch in issue #197. OtherEric

Any idea why it's supposed to be hard to find? I grabbed this copy at my LCS today. Interestingly, there's a two-part story that started in the previous issue, which is unusual for the title from what I've seen. It pulls off the interesting trick of having the first part of the story being pre-code but the second half being code approved. But, I have heard of it's scarcity from several Strange Adventures collectors. I read the issue, but didn't realize it had a continued story in it. I guess I have to look again. I do not own #53... Hey, sometimes people just get lucky finding books, it doesn't mean it isn't rare. What little research I did shows that, if nothing else, sellers are willing to flag it as the rarest issue. Not even remotely impossible... although I think some of those sales predate this thread, to be fair. And now, since I figure people are curious, here's the Pre-Code part 1 of that story I mentioned: Tri-Color Brian

OtherEric
A few from the LCS today; I also posted a couple earlier issues over in the Atomic Age DC thread in gold. Just some great "what's going on?" covers on the 52 and particularly the 51; the 46 features one of the last Captain Comet stories in the title. Pantodude
I was immediately fond of this title when I got this book with a huge, disembodied hand. Which, of course, prompted me at the same time to get this unrelated title/issue for the huge, disembodied foot: I think the subconscious plan was to try to assemble a full body consisting of such huge, disembodied parts! Perhaps some day. Edited November 5, 2020 by Pantodude Math Teacher, electricprune and frozentundraguy
EC Star&Bar
Showcase Presents Strange Adventures Vol. 1 started with #54, the first Code approved issue -- so I appreciate the reprinting from #53 in this thread -- thanks. I got barely outbid on a high grade raw copy on eBay not long ago, and it’s super rare in higher grade so was kinda bummed. I also have a very special copy coming back from CGC soon of #64. The new single highest graded copy. Edited November 10, 2020 by LDarkseid1 Jasonmorris1000000, Tri-Color Brian and OtherEric
