There is a small 1/4 drop of schmutz on the back cover. A 1/16 inch tear on the back cover. Obvious wear on top of cover.

I am also more in the 4.5-5.0 range. Page and paper quality seems like theres tanning and the edges and other minor wear added up just does not present like a 5.5. 

This 5.0 looks a little sharper than your copy is all

Yeah, 5.5 is probably a bridge too far. A 5.5 should feel like it's just under a FN. This seems more balanced between VG and FN. Still a great book.
