Blastaar
Is he underrated and or undervalued? The guy has had great runs all over the place. Outside of his Batman splashes he seems to be undervalued IMO and not in the discussion when current top artists come up. Thoughts?

I think you have picked 2 of the 3 worst offenders I have read about (Jim Kyle is the 3rd on the list).
Blastaar
Looks like he is offering several commissions in an effort to fund the New York Food Bank. Edited June 29, 2020 by Blastaar

Andahaion
With a small personal collection (less than 10 pieces), there aren't a lot of threads where I can participate. But I can in this one! This is from Grant Morrison's Batman RIP arc where Bats bench presses 600lbs of loose soil to emerge from the coffin. Good stuff. As far as Tony Daniel being over/under rated...I don't know. I've only seen a few pieces that I'd spring for, but when he's on it's pretty good. John E., Twanj, Blastaar and 1 other
Popular Post AnkurJ
Prices are in line with most modern artists. I know some people dislike him after personal dealings. I have this in my collection so never felt the need to add something else. John E., Blastaar, Andahaion and 5 others
Avi
Ive been chasing a good batman page from him for a couple of years. Just cant find a page I love in my price range. I did play the mystery envelop game at SDCC last year. Got some decent pages, like most of them but nothing Im in love with. As an artist I think his stuff is priced in line with many main line artists, his commission prices are too high though. Had a chat with him at SDCC, nice guy, seemed to enjoy interacting with fans. wurstisart
Tony Daniel is top notch ! Had 2 transactions with him with no problems and all his work is incredible !!! Love his Batman work. Rick2you2
timguerrero
I think outside of his Batman work he is underrated. If anyone is interested I have these pages I would be willing to trade or sell. They are 4 consecutive pages from DC Infinite Halloween Special featuring Killer Croc and Resurrection Man. I am not willing to break them up so they are being offered as a set of pages. shady64
I like and appreciate Tony's art but never enough to seek it out. Maybe because he's very much associated with Batman now, not a character or universe I seek much art from. I actually still associate him with his earlier Image/Top Cow stuff, like The Tenth, F5, Witchblade. His style was distinct then, maybe a little more T&Aish. As far as commissions, don't know what it says about me or the market that I actually thought his prices when I saw them were not bad at all ($500-ish with decent detail and backgrounds?). timguerrero
ender
I got this off of eBay years ago and was really pleased with the piece. Granted I have a ton of Buffy artwork but I think this is as good as if not better than a lot of the art used for the covers on the series. I have thought about having it inked bust I like the pencils and there would be a lot of black. Blastaar
I ended up snagging a SM WW page yesterday featuring Zod. Also below is a cool Arkham splash from Batman #676 I regret recently selling. ender and Rick2you2
Popular Post aqn83
His pricing is kind of all over the place, but I think he's just testing the waters to see what he can sell at. This piece, when it originally was posted by him on CAF, he was asking 10k. https://tonydaniel.bigcartel.com/product/batman-double-page-splash Ultimately, it sold for $3500, which I might have actually purchased. I saw the original 10k asking price and just scoffed and wrote it off For a while, he had some sketch cover commissions that were priced at 600-1000, which I think is a bit absurd considering he had published panel pages priced considerably less, but it looks like his commissions prices are starting to level off a bit. His covers are overpriced IMO. Having said that, I don't think he is nearly as overpriced as Jason Fabok is. Popular Post Buzzetta
I picked this up earlier this year. I love it and will probably have it framed for my office when that is finally redone. I have never shopped for an artist. Outside of comic collectors, no one would know what a Ditko or Kirby or Romita is. However when people come over they definitely know who Superman is and want to know if it is original art. I shop for images and Tony Daniel did an incredible job on this. I picked it for the actual art. Superman v Luthor with Superman leaving Earth to fly into space. I was sold on picking it up as soon as I saw it. Twanj, PixelPusher, Legion of Goom and 3 others
