December 1951 office party at Entertaining Comics. Note on the shelf at the bottom left the red spines of Weird Tales, among other magazines and books they lifted their stories from. 

 

Zoom in detail shows a lot of bound volumes. I can't read the spines, but I assume that these are Educational/Entertaining Comics. It's good to see bound volumes in situ like this. Presumably, all publishers had their magazines bound at year's end. I wonder what happened to these volumes? The Weird Tales were probably thrown away.

A couple Weird Tales oddities:

Printers proof for March 1932 issue

Gallery proof for 1989 magazine revival.  It has the complete contents and is the size of a phone book!

This is good for proving that the red on the spine matched the red on the cover when it was printed. It's pretty uncommon to find a deep red spine like that now.
