Anyone familiar with my posting history knows that I have used "pervert" on half the board members here - it is term of endearment with my fellow collectors. I have done business with Howard multiple times before his passing, and as far as I know, he was a great guy. Yes, I collect under grounds - I have for years, and I am a pervert too. I have the full set of Cherry's. Additionally, I have done business with you before. True. But after your last comments, after I called out the law student on his restored book, and your failure to open my pm regarding that incident, and then this latest repeated stalking attack with your pms and posts, I would not order from you again. That's how I think. I hope you are happy. No worries, Elk. Calling Howard a pervert after his death just doesn't work for me. And for that, you don't have to worry about me ever selling to you again. theCapraAegagrus
PSA, if anyone calls me a "pervert" after my timely demise, please don't burn any bridges on my behalf. No one should be punished for speaking the truth. jokiing
Gaard
I'm binge watching "Hanna" and I'm in my 50s. I'm guessing that's a little higher on the pervert meter that reading UGs.
Ken Aldred
Howard was exceptional. I always enjoyed chatting with him on the phone. He was incredibly enthusiastic about his comics and about meeting his favourite creators at conventions. Genuine, friendly, and very smart. To say that he was ‘knowledgeable’ about his specialist field of underground comix is a big understatement; he was world expert level. Without him I would never have built up my Richard Corben collection to its current standard: I would not have had such consistent, easy access to a wide range of high grade copies over here. His raw grading was also very generous. What isn’t quite so widely known is that as well as a fantastic underground collection he also had an equally impressive high grade Marvel collection. I wish I’d met him sooner than I did, and a very sad loss to the collecting community as a whole. GrandmasterG
Underground comics are Awesome. Main stream “sucks” it’s like music. You Do realize there are tons and tons of music, comics and artists that are never recognized by the main stream what ever. So to bash UG comics is like bashing any art or artist. Some of the stuff is awesome. Ken Aldred and icefires

Richard Corben started out in the underground, has done very similar work in the mainstream for Dark Horse, Marvel and DC, is recognised as being one of the best graphic storytellers ever to work in comics, and a horror artist up there with Graham Ingels and Berni Wrightson. So, despite my fanboy hyperbole here, there’s genuinely some good stuff. Edited July 21, 2020 by Ken Aldred icefires
