Aha!

So....maybe they clicked the wrong drop down as these colours would be in a drop down menu for whoever enters their data. That or maybe a batch of those books the OP posted were printed on blue paper. How they tell when the pages" are all glossy and covered with ink from edge to edge is beyond me.

Yeah, that's a pretty "splashy" book with lots of full-page colors - it does seem to have a lot of blue tones in it I guess, maybe the OP got one with color bleed in the white areas or something, like a print defect? Or maybe it's just a mistake...

I have liked this chart although it is dated.  Not sure if the copyright date at the bottom of the page (2013) is the last update.  One of the notes is not having seen "Light Tan to Cream Pages" but there are books with that PQ - example below from HA.

And I cannot believe the Uncanny X-Men #214 with tan-cream in 9.8 or the #239 with tan-pink in 9.6.  I knew about the Fox pinks but that was because of the paper used so I don't look at those as a negative PQ.  I just have a hard time believing CA/MA books have pink pages.

I have always thought CGC should note both Page Color (PC) and Page Quality.  I mean Slightly Brittle is not a page color but a measure of quality.  The problem I guess is how detailed suppleness would be.  If it were I, it would be simple - Supple, Slightly Brittle, and Brittle.   So let's say you have a book that has CR-OW PC and has SB PQ or a CR-OW Supple.....

so these page colors are a thing? and are normal?

There's no reason to be surprised---there's a wide variety of colors available in CGC's selection menu. Most page quality falls under some form of white, but occasionally there are books that diversify the palette...

If these are errors they are hilarious. Assuming that when the grader or whoever enters info into the system, they either to it manually or else there is a drop down. Why the colours "pink" or "blue would even be options in such a drop down selection for PQ is beyond me.

If they are actually talking about the pages in some way, I would like to know what was meant by it.....

My guess is that the selected color would be the one that best described the page color (or quality, if you prefer) for this particular book. While uncommon, these things do happen from time to time...

While it's true that I didn't know it was an option in the drop down at cgc, these books still appear mislabled, but thanks for the info, I learned something NEW!!

As the submittor of these books, did you even bothered to flip past the cover to check out the interior pages to see if they are actually blue?  hm

If not yet, pull out some more of your extras and let us know here.  (thumbsu  :taptaptap:

Then why are some getting White PQ and some getting Blue? (shrug)

From the Page Quality section of https://www.cgccomics.com/grading/grading-scale/:

Pink
This page designation is given to a small number of Golden Age comic books that were printed with pink tinted paper, particularly late ‘40s comics published by Fox. Pink is essentially equal to white in this instance.
Blue
Similar to pink pages, this grade is given in those rare instances when comic books were printed on blue tinted paper. Fox publications also occasionally used blue paper when printing their comic books in the late ‘40s.

Well would you look at that. ^^

Wonder how new the Blue designation is?

I contacted CGC yesterday by email and by phone today and they are looking in to it, but interestingly if you look up any of the "Blue" certification numbers on CGC's website, they've all been changed to "White pages" with a grading date of today. This tells me it was a mistake and I (and others) have a book with an incorrect label. Not the end of the world, but not cool either. I'm trusting that CGC will do the right thing here and offer to redo the labels (and pay for shipping both ways) or offer a grading credit.

They will.  They will send you a return shipping label with complete instructions for it being a Mechanical Error (as they call it).  They will reholder free of charge and return to you.  No cost on your part.  Just a hassle to box it up and drop off.
