This is pretty cool... The effect of inkers on a page

I know some of you guys are not part of the comicart-l yahoo group, so I wanted to share this, because to me, it's pretty cool

This guy got an unpublished page done in pencil by Gil Kane, and he's getting it inked by a few artists. He's had it inked by Bob McLeod and by Joe Rubinstein, and you can really see how much an inker can affect how the page looks...

 

In this case, I think I like McLeod's inking better smile.gif

Jeff is actually a member on here and I agree, Bob's inking is my favorite. I would love to see what Scott Williams would do with inking....or Matt Ryan !

Part of the inker's job is to spot blacks,which alot of people have trouble with.I like Bob's inks better myself. it's crisp and clean and easy to see with a nice balance of blacks.usually if someone else is inking your work,full pencils is best,or the inker might not ink in your style.
