High Times May 1980 (copy B), VF 8.0, $60, Classic Frazetta Mothman cover and interior art. This is one of the nicest copies that I've seen of this very tough magazine. Turns out cannabis aficionados of the early 80s weren't too careful with their mags. This copy has excellent gloss and only a few issues to keep it from grading higher.

Savage Sword of Conan 9, VF+ 8.5, $40, By far, my favorite cover of the run and this copy is dripping wet gloss with fresh colors and white pages. This is, in my opinion, the best work by Boris on any magazine. It's the closest he came to emulating Frazetta. F/VF copies are selling for $25-30 over the last few months. This copy is a lot nicer than those.  Sold to stippy52

Supergirls Calendar, Steranko, 1973, $250 A must have for any and all Steranko collectors, I've had to obscure the sensitive parts to protect the innocent. It's roughly 11”x17” in size and the prints on this copy are essentially as issued, no writing, tears, etc. The metal rail at the top has a small bend at the middle (picture makes it look worse than it is). Prices on this thing vary widely. I paid a bunch for it back in the day. Individual pages seem to sell for $50 to $100 (although why someone would split it up is beyond me). Pricing based upon recent ebay sales.

Dracula Vol. 1 Number 8, December 1972, NM 9.4, $70, Just a stunning cover by Enrich for this short lived series. For those that haven't seen these, they're printed on a matte cover stock and very thin without ads. They're also a strange size, larger than typical US magazines. There were only 12 issues in the run for the UK (originally printed in Spain by Buru Lan). This copy is nearly perfect.

I know nothing about this book but it's old, obscure, creepy as hell and I collect Enrich so  :takeit:

Curious if CGC will slab?

That SSOC 9 is stunning. I own an 8.0 or I would be all over that. Conan in development at Netflix. The window is closing.

“Dripping wet gloss”...hm

This seems to be a key factor on selling books quickly on the boards. lol

Thanks, Steve!  I don't think CGC will slab these as they're an odd size (taller than US magazines).  But the interior artwork by Maroto is pretty spectacular.  These are the issues that Jim Warren collected into the Dracula graphic novel (pink cover).  The same graphic novel was originally printed in Spain with several volumes (showcasing Cinco Por Infinito and Delta 99).  I really wish they had translated and printed all of them as the art is consistently good throughout.

The New English Dracula books ran a dozen issues plus a special in the early 1970’s. You might remember the Dracula Special Warren did that reprints some of this series. It’s great!

xD I have a few other copies and believe it or not, that one is the glossiest.  Super slick and the back cover is very clean (unlike the mean-spirited scan).

Here's a shot of the original series from Spain (not mine, taken from internet)

I only have the New English editions. Now I need to look for those...

FYI, the cover used on the Warren one shot is an absolute favourite of mine. It just screams 1970’s comic art style and colours of the era...

CGC Magazines Dimension Requirements

CGC grades most magazines that fit within the following dimensions: 11-1/2” tall x 8-7/8” wide x 1/2” thick. Magazines that are larger than these dimensions cannot be certified, as they will not fit in the CGC Magazines holder. In addition, magazines with severe overhangs, hard covers or jeweled covers cannot be encapsulated.
