CGC Magazines Dimension Requirements

CGC grades most magazines that fit within the following dimensions: 11-1/2” tall x 8-7/8” wide x 1/2” thick. Magazines that are larger than these dimensions cannot be certified, as they will not fit in the CGC Magazines holder. In addition, magazines with severe overhangs, hard covers or jeweled covers cannot be encapsulated.

Thank you my friend. Been waiting on one last mag or two to kick off a submission. Would love this to be the one.

I would have kicked you in the nuts for half the price.

Unbelievable artwork. It's getting mylared and then included with my next mag submission just to encapsulate (if they will do it). Permanent collection entry. Not going anywhere either way.

Savage Sword of Conan 9, VF+ 8.5, $40, By far, my favorite cover of the run and this copy is dripping wet gloss with fresh colors and white pages. This is, in my opinion, the best work by Boris on any magazine. It's the closest he came to emulating Frazetta. F/VF copies are selling for $25-30 over the last few months. This copy is a lot nicer than those.  Sold to stippy52

The early SSOCs have amazing covers. These magazines are very under priced.

Here's a shot of the original series from Spain (not mine, taken from internet)

Pretty disappointed I missed the NE Dracula books. I had just started following this sale after finally making my first Boards purchase this week in what must be 3-5 years without one. The NE Dracula offerings posted whilst I wasn't looking.

I want the Spanish set, the New English set, and the Warren trade, all in HG.

Someone sell them to me.

I'm with you.  They're very cool and very tough in high grade.

Vampirella 20, October 1972, VF 8.0-8.5, $75, Cover art by Luis Dominguez. This striking yellow cover is really unusual for the run and this copy is very clean with only a few non color breaking issues keeping it from grading higher.

Vampirella 113, April 1988, VF+ 8.5, $240 Classic cover by Enrich. Would grade higher if not for the notoriously sensitive back cover which is incredibly unforgiving. I recommend not even breathing near it. This Harris issue is one of the most in demand issues of Vampirella and very tough in high grade. A good copy sold on ebay a month ago for $50 and a raw 9.0 sold for $299.

Vampirella 45, September 1975, VF/NM 9.0, $50, Cover montage by various artists. I will always love the composition of this cover featuring the iconic full length image of Vampirella. These tough black covers are very unforgiving and this copy presents very well for the grade.

Eerie 39, April 1972, F 6.0, $15, Cover art by Ken Kelly, interiors by Rafael Auraleon, Tom Sutton, Esteban Maroto, Dave Cockrum, and more. This is an unusually tough book. Maroto's Dax the warrior would become an 11 chapter story arc in Eerie and one of the highlights of the run.
