It is an over-complicated costume, Kav.  Not too surprising he might’ve just scribbled some random details in.

True but he did this consistently.

Also, if Swan drew an over complicated costume, it would look the same in every panel.

Kirby could also be hit or miss.  Swan never missed.  You will never see him draw anything as excruciating as this-technically speaking Swan blows him away:

Very miserable and American Gothic.  And, would make a great professional basketball player with that height and reach.

They should set him up with a court somewhere in The Village. He could wear the Number Six vest, and maybe they could make a ball from the same material they use for Rover.

They have the resources.

Most likely that giant ball was always chasing him so that he would dunk it.

His dialogue can be a bit---stiff, lets say-

Obviously you really, really like Curt Swan so I'm going to just let you have the last word on this.  High five!

But enough about me. Let's talk about you. What do you think of me?

We haven't interacted a ton, but here is what I have surmised, FWIW.

  • Smart guy
  • Entertaining and knowledgeable poster
  • Asset to the community
  • Strong opinions about artists because he is one
  • Willing to go to the mattresses for the downtrodden and underappreciated
  • Says Kirby is the Van Gogh of comics but for some reason seems ready at any moment to pull out the knives on ol' Jack with no provocation
  • Does an impressive job of making you question how seriously he's standing behind any particular hot take
  • I have not yet ruled out (occasional) drunk posting

That about sum it up?

I have been unfair to ol Jack-he was truly a genius.  Sure you could say he screws up some like that Prisoner splash but thats cause he takes more risks.
Also his dialogue may be goofy but I love it-think of it as poetry.
