Do subgrades really count?

Question: The grade on a card I received was .75 points below the average of all of the subgrades. So, do subgrades count towards the ultimate grade or is it based on the lowest score in any single category? Is there any way to align the grade of the card with the average value of the subgrades?

Of course they do. The grade is not simply an average of the sub grades. There are numerous rules. One of which is that if the two lowest sub grades match, that is the grade. So an 8 8 6 6 is a 6 overall.
