Don't know the list, but to rank the 1st appearance of Batman as 23rd most important is crazy. Even the most diehard Marvelite would surely rank this in the top 10?

Yeah, that's pretty stupid. I'm thinking this bizarre ranking is more of an intentional move on Weist's part (i.e. for personal attention, which he's getting in threads like this one) than it is an honest evaluation. Somehow if Weist was offering a 'tec 27 for auction next week, I seriously doubt he'd trumpet it as the "23rd most important book!".
