Thin CGC case?
1 1

5 posts in this topic

Hello,

I tried to search past threads about this topic but couldn't find anything.  I recently bought a CGC SS book on Ebay and the CGC case is significantly thinner than all my other CGC cases.  Now I'm a bit worried.

Does anyone know if CGC used thinner cases than normal for a period of time.  This is for a Spider-Gwen #1 SS with the slab issued in July 2015.  As you can see from the picture the thin case is on the right and a standard CGC case is on the left.

Also the 9.6 number on the label is fading and much less visible vs my other graded books (hard to tell from the pic but provided it anyway).

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Thanks Dr. Strings!  Looks like the case that I received is the 3rd from the top (issued from 2003-2016).  Puts my mind at ease but still might send in for reholdering since the case seems so cheap and thin compared to the more modern ones.
